*Based on morphology of DiI injected neurons in mid-stage 16 to stage 17 embryos. Axons were judged to have stalled if they had failed to reach the CNS neuropile. See Figure 2a for locations of stalling points for different types of neurons. These values are significantly different to each other (P < 0.01). These values are significantly different to the nrg14/Y stalling rates (P < 0.01) and to each other (P = 0.05).
